where is Oia ? (Don't be confused - it is sometimes written in English as ' Ia '  )

The traditional village of Oia rests at the northern tip of the island of Santorini.

It is about 18 kilometers from the island's airport to Oia and 12 kilometers from the main town of Fira to Oia.

To reach Oia, you'll travel either the 'high road' that twists around the crest of the island with views to both sides or the 'low road' that hugs the coastline.

where is Santorini Island ?

Santorini, officially known as Thira or Thera, is part of the Cycladic islands in the Greek Aegean Sea.

Daily flights year around on Olympic Airlines and Aegean Airlines from Athens to Santorini take only 45 minutes.

High speed ferry boats connect to Athens/Pireaus port and other locations such as Mykonos or Crete.
Be sure to check the schedules as not all high speed, direct service is daily. Use the www.gtp.gr link  for schedules.
